I’m half Armenian and was skeptical about cooking lamb in a crockpot but it turned out great. I purchased a 4.5 pound boneless leg of lamb from Costco and made 1.5 times the amount of rub to compensate. Only other change I made was to cube 1 and a half large yellow onions and put those in the crockpot instead of the boiling onions. The lamb was SO mild. Not gamey at all. Thank you for this recipe!! It really is wonderful.

How would I adapt this recipe for one of those? Same amount of liquid even though it’s a pound and a half less? Should I do it in the Dutch oven as opposed to the slow cooker? Thank you!

This dish is a disaster, far too much garlic and herbs really spoiled the meat, so disappointed. Sorry for any spelling mistakes but weirdly this form does not allow any revision, you have to delete the whole thing and start again.

Sure, Lynn! You can just warm up in your oven on the second day. I would cover with foil, and if needed, add a little more liquid to the pan.
